Practical answers about local services and River Run Civic Association.
Local services & neighborhood questions
How do I report a pothole, damaged sign or streetlight concern?
Start with Hilliard Helps. Choose the issue type, mark its location and describe the problem. The City reviews your request. RRCA does not submit or resolve city service requests.
Open Hilliard Helps →Do I need an RRCA account to request a city service?
No. Hilliard Helps is separate from the RRCA website and accepts guest requests. A city-service account offers updates and communication with City staff. Review the submission and privacy choices on the City’s site.
City request and account information →Who is responsible for a damaged sidewalk?
Hilliard generally assigns adjacent sidewalk upkeep to property owners. The City handles certain defects involving city-owned trees, utilities and curb ramps. Contact its sidewalk team for an assessment before assuming a repair is covered or arranging work.
City sidewalk responsibilities and program →Who should I contact about a missing water cover or meter problem?
Check your water bill for your provider. For Columbus Water & Power service, call 614-645-8276. Describe the cover and location so staff can identify the equipment and explain responsibility. A cover marked WATER may be a curb box rather than the meter. Call 614-645-7788 for a water emergency.
Columbus water repair responsibilities →What should I do if trash, recycling or yard waste was missed?
For Hilliard collection service, call Local Waste Services at 614-409-9375, option 2, within 24 hours of the missed pickup. The City’s guide also covers bin problems and collection requirements.
City collection guide →When should I contact RRCA instead of the city or a utility?
Contact the board about shared entrance areas, neighborhood events, communications, dues or website access. Send street, sidewalk, public-safety and utility concerns to the appropriate provider.
Email the RRCA board →Are RRCA dues required?
RRCA is a civic association, and the $75 annual household dues are voluntary. Contributions help fund shared neighborhood care and activities. Paying dues is separate from residency verification and does not determine access to the resident portal.
Official service information reviewed . The city or provider determines eligibility, responsibility, timing and any costs for your request.
